Thanks from the President's House Committee!

Jan (Sundstrom) Stowman (VCHS '65), spouse of Charles Stowman (VCHS '64), is shown in a familiar location for her, doing volunteer work in the President's House on the campus of Valley City State University.

Recently, the Class of '61 Reunion Group (comprised of VCHS, St. Kates, and College High alumni) made a donation of $178.80 to the President's House project. This money was remaining from registration and expense funds, according to Doug Peterson (VCHS '61) 1961 Reunion Committee Treasurer.

Jan wrote a thank you note to the Class of '61 and we're happy to share it:

Dear Class of '61ers!

What a "treat" to receive your check at our meeting yesterday. We were so pleased that your class used and enjoyed the President's House during the All-60's Reunion this summer. We volunteers of the President's House Preservation Society work very hard for every dollar needed for continued restoration projects. To receive such a generous gift as yours is so appreciated. We always have so many projects on our to do list. Of course, the biggest and most important is accessibility. Maybe by the next reunion that problem will be solved. Your gift will certainly help.

Thanks again.
With appreciation,
Jan Stowman for the President's House Preservation Society

Thanks, Jan! Our group really enjoyed using the President's House and our thanks to you, your committee, LouVay (Ruemler) White (VCHS '61) and others from our class who've worked to restore the President's House and provided wonderful hospitality to all of us who stopped by during the All-60s Reunion. A great time was had by all!  - Larry Gauper
