This year, we sadly lost another classmate. Lyle Pedersen passed away on Wednesday, November 19th, 2014, in Valley City, N. Dakota. He was a 1961 graduate of Valley City High School and attended college at Wahpeton State School of Science and Valley City State University. He served in the United States Air Force for three years in Germany with the 17th Air Force. He married Karen Olson in 1968 and they raised four children. Lyle worked in the heating and conditioning field and farmed for 13 years. When he stopped his favorite careers, he went to work for Don's F-M Oil Company, Fargo, later becoming general manager.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Darin Pedersen. A number of 1961 classmates attended Lyle's funeral in Valley City: Barb (Sheppard) Lang, Jamestown; Doug and Judy Peterson, Wahpeton; Dave Nelson, Arlie Braunberger and Dave Maasjo, all of Valley City.
