During these first few months of 2022, we were saddened once again. This time it's learning of the passing of our school days' friend, Dennis Plecity, age 79, Fargo, formerly of Valley City. Dennis went to school with us from kindergarten through our freshman year at Valley City High School. At that time, we believe he transferred to College High. Dennis was known by many of us as "Denny," however his full name was Howard Dennis Plecity. His 1958 Sheyenne Yearbook freshman portrait is below:

With heavy hearts, Denny Plecity’s family watched him pass away on March 11, 2022, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. He was surrounded by his loved ones and passed away just as he lived his life, peaceful, kind, gentle and quietly.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley City. There will be visitation on Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, a prayer service will begin at 7:00. The funeral will be live streamed then archived on his tribute page along with his obituary at the link below. This is where you'll also find Denny's most recent photograph.
On a personal note, Denny was my maternal second cousin. He attended a number of our Blue Cross employee recognition nights, as he was the guest of one of our employees. He laughed (I hope!) at my corny jokes as I was the designated emcee for those evenings. It was always good to see him and we had some quick but good visits.
