Four more painted scenes from our childhood

Similar in style to the painting of the Dario, which can be found elsewhere on this blog, thanks to Bonnie (Cink) Ness, a VCHS 1965 grad, we have four more paintings of landmarks from our childhood by artist Gail Severson Boyer (now of Phoenix, AZ): Ed's Popcorn Stand, Ritchie School, Lincoln School and the "Dario Car Hops." Bonnie says "the carhops depicted are (L-R): Terry Torguson, Janice Sundstrom (in back), Bonnie Cink, Diane Miller and Julie McKay."

According to Bonnie: "Gail attended Valley City schools until the 7th grade when her family moved to West Fargo. She became a painter late in life (50 years old) and is now very accomplished doing a lot of scenery and flowers. She has won high honors in Phoenix area contests. The above paintings and that of the Dario will be available for sale at the Dario reunion (probably 5 x 7)."  The Dario reunion is open to EVERYONE and will be held Friday, July 9th, 3:00 P.M., at the Barnes County Historical Museum on Central Avenue in downtown Valley City. Thanks, Bonnie, for sharing these paintings!

I'm not sure I can make the Dario Reunion, but Colleen, please buy me a set of the 4 prints, and I'll pay you back at the Chautauqua Pavillion Friday night! These are wonderful.
