More good news regarding Sharon Gratz!

George Gratz (St. Kates, '61) reported earlier on this blog about the serious auto accident his wife, Sharon, was involved in during June of this year. Here's George's latest update as of September 4, 2010.

Here's George's update: "It has now been 75 days since the accident and near a month since my last update. I had hope to give an update after the orthopedic doctor visit scheduled for last Tuesday but that appointment was cancelled because the doctor had to do emergency surgery. We had hoped the doctor would give authorization to begin putting some weight on her left side, but will now have to wait a few days until after the postponed appointment. However, we have lots of very positive things to report:

"Sharon and I played our first game of Scrabble since the accident on August 23rd. We are now playing a couple games of Scrabble a day. On August 24th Sharon was able to take a shower upstairs in our home. That same day Sharon began sleeping upstairs. We have gone out for dinner with friends twice, and have been shopping. Yesterday Sharon went to the hair dresser.

"Sharon has shown tremendous courage during her recovery. She is really looking forward to mobility without a walker.

"Thank you all for your cards, of caring and encouragement. Thank you for your prayers."
George and Sharon
