Hi, '61ers! That's me in 1959, age 16, in the control room at KOVC. Before I became the Hiliners61 "blogmeister," I spent over 40 years in ad agency work and corporate communications and, before that, I was a teenage disc jockey. I loved that job and to learn why, listen to my audio clip by clicking here.
NOTE: After you click on the audio link, you'll see a page that says "download." Go ahead and click on "download." You'll then have a choice to "run" it (listen to it right then and there) or "save" to your computer's desktop so you can listen to me again and again. Wow! Isn't that a thrilling idea. :-) This process seems to work the fastest in Microsoft Internet Explorer. For some reason, Google's own "Chrome" browser seems to take forever downloading this file. If you have trouble opening or downloading the audio, please send me an email at Hiliners61@gmail.com
Looking forward to seeing you in Valley City this summer! - Larry Gauper, Fargo, ND, Valley High '61

Really enjoyed your audio trip down Memory Lane, Larry. You sparked a lot of wonderful memories. I encourage you to post your audio on the all-60s website, if possible, so that a larger audience can enjoy this.
Hey, Jerry, thanks for your feedback on the audio clip. I plan to add another one as soon as I can find my NuBeats 45 record. I think Jerry Norgaard or someone would give us permission to load that. :-)
Regarding the All-60s group...I know they're working hard out there with a much broader project but right now I'm trying to get them to put a link to our Hiliners61 blog on their website. If I succeed there, then there'll be a pathway to our stuff and, of course, the audio. Right now, I'm not sure who's running the all-60's site--I've tried an email to the Info box. If you come across a name, let me know. Again, thanks for your comments! - Larry Gauper, Fargo, ND, Valley High '61
I still have the NuBeats record but it's warped!! Bryce and I lived next door to each other during high school. Diane Sauer Hughes
