Ten enthusiastic and bright-eyed alumni of the best class ever graduated from Valley City High School, the
Class of 1961, gathered for another luncheon in Valley City, this time at the Country Club, on Thursday, September 25, 2014. This is almost becoming a monthly gathering and those who can make it always have a great time. We talk about everyone who isn't there! An October and/or November luncheon isn't set yet, but stay tuned. The
Hiliners61 e-newsletter, edited and produced by
Diane (Sauer) Hughes will very likely carry a notice if an attempt is made to hold a luncheon.
After our luncheon,
LouVay (Ruemler) White conducted a special tour for the group at the recently restored and upgraded President's House on the campus of Valley City State University. Watch for some new photos I took during our tour, coming to this blog soon. LouVay and the committee have really done an outstanding job of restoring house and
Denny Gillund recalled a number of memories made during his visits there when his dad was on the VCSU faculty. An excellent tour of a beautifully restored facility, thanks to the work of a number of dedicated former classmates.
