Good news on Sharon from George!

George Gratz (St. Kates, '61) reported earlier on this blog about the serious auto accident his wife, Sharon, was involved in during June of this year. Here's George's latest update as of July 27, 2010.

"Last Saturday was 5 weeks since the accident. Today we went to see the orthopedic doctor. All in all we had a good report and now more clearly understand the knee fracture and pelvic fractures (actually 4 pelvic fractures).

"The doctor was optimistic that Sharon can transition from a walker to a cane at 10 to 12 weeks. We have another appointment in 5 weeks.

"I think each of my reports have indicated Sharon’s continued improvement. Last Sunday Sharon’s hair dresser came by the house and did up her hair. Today she put on real clothes for the first time.

I took the above photo of Sharon today (July 27) just prior to leaving to see the doctor. I think she’s looking very well for what she went through just 5 weeks ago." - George

I think she's looking very much like she's on the mend, George! Our thoughts and prayers are with Sharon for her continued progress. We appreciate these updates so keep 'em coming! - der Blogmeister
