Sharon Gratz is making good progress!
George Gratz (St. Kates, '61) reported earlier on this blog about the serious auto accident his wife, Sharon, was involved in during June of this year. Here's George's latest update as of August 9, 2010. Dear Friends and Family,
It’s been two weeks since my last update. Sharon continues to make good progress. Since the last update we have made 3 trips to Salem, In. to visit Sharon’s 93 year old mother. We made a trip to Sharon’s sister’s home in Southport In. (40 miles north) on Sunday to see Cameron Bowles the newest baby in the family who was born on June 24th.
Today Sharon scooted backwards up 13 steps to reach the 2nd floor in our home. This was the first trip upstairs since the accident 7 weeks ago. Also today Sharon and I went to CVS for her to do a little personal shopping.
With the exception of the continuing zero weight restriction on her left knee and some slight positional vertigo Sharon’s recovery is very good. We see the orthopedic doctor again on August 31 and hope for a transition from the walker to a cane.
Again, thanks for your caring and prayers,
George
Great to hear of Sharon's recovery! Keep us updated, George. - der Blogmeister
