Excellent Video website on Valley City!
Received a link from Ron Morsch, VH61, to a great site which has some videos from the 1950's including the 52-53 Montgomery Wards Bike Parade and the 1958 ND Diamond Jubilee parade in VC. Thanks, Ron! I do recall being in the "bike parade," using those decorative paper wheel inserts from Gambles, I believe. That's where I acquired my first new bike, a genuine Hiawatha!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful link to videos of Valley City happenings of long ago. I've seen some of them - alas, I was on a float for
Northwest Nursery Co. in the 1958 Diamond Jubilee Parade. What a hoot it was to look at the video and see my little 11 year-old self! Also the link to the Peggy Lee song leads to many more wonderful videos of singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Shore, Sinatra, Judy Garland, and on and on. Some of the best clips I've ever seen! I hope these links will stay on long past reunion time! Thanks again, Bonnie Cink Ness

Incidentally, for all commentors, you don't have to have a "Google Account" to identify yourself. Simple click the "Name/URL" button and state your name..that's it. Your name will then show-up at the top of the comment rather than anonymous. It's confusing...that "URL" thing might be the confusing factor. Just your name is fine.
