Greetings from Bob & Connie Nestoss!

Bob Nestoss, a schoolmate of ours back in the 1960s in Valley City, has been living and working in Fargo since the 1970s, and he married his wife, Connie, in 1977. I recently interviewed them both for my column in the F-M Extra newspaper and we enjoyed a fun conversation about Valley City memories and what they've been up to over the last 50 years. They told me about Bob's retirement in 2009 and they're very excited about their two granddaughters! You can read all about them in "Bob & Connie," the title of myWordchipper column appearing this week on newsstands in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Note: If you RIGHT-CLICK on the link to the column and then select "open in new window," it will be easier to come back to the blog. Also, be sure to click on the blue "print" word in the upper left-hand corner of the screen that opens. This will make it possible to see the column at its highest PDF resolution and then, if you wish, print on lettter-size paper.

What a wonderful story!! I want your job, Larry -- interviewing interesting, inspirational people. What a great retirement gig you've developed for yourself!!
Good going!

Thanks, Diane! Visiting with Bob and Connie and trying to tell their inspiring story is one of those things that helps keep my neurons firing. This particular experience was also a great antidote for the "grumpy old man" condition I'm frequently in danger of acquiring.

Appreciate your feedback, Diane, AND all your hard work on the reunion and now the booklet. Like the Beach Boys sang about "Endless Summer," hey, this is the "Endless Reunion!" And, to me, that's something you and many of us find pleasure in helping make happen.
